Partner with the best As a R&D Mechanical Engineer you will be part of the R&D team to design new products, develop new technologies and improve existing product lines. Will be responsible for projects of varying complexity. You will a have significant impact on product cost, performance, reliability and manufacturability.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3+ years of New Product Introduction mechanical engineering experience
- Significant experience in an engineering role and demonstrate good technical knowledge
- Solid problem-solving skills, with a focus on actions, results and adding value for customers
- Proficiency with CAD systems like Solidworks
- Necessary to live near Skaneateles NY for this position
Responsibilities
- Executing the design analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
- Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from ideation to implementation including design, prototyping, refinement, and validation
- Working with suppliers to refine designs to have minimal cost and maximum consistency.
- Sifting through complex technical issues/problems and focusing on the critical priorities and performing necessary tasks to identify a viable solution in the least possible time
- Contributing to innovation by researching new technologies and reviewing and submitting patents
- Conducting design reviews to show thorough attention to project requirements, FMEA, manufacturing, reliability, and supplier capability
