Here, you will make an impact by: Developing world-class Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) using advanced materials, analysis, and validation Working collaboratively in an agile framework to ensure product performance meets rigorous durability and regulatory requirements Growing mechanical design leadership Maintaining effective communication with project team, staff, and project owners Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Mechanical Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of experience in Mechanical Design/Development in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred in mechanical engineering
• Background in the design of plastic components (injection molding) as well as the design of metal-formed components (sheet metal and machined)
• Experience using 3D solid modeling tools (Inventor or equivalent) in conjunction with Design Analysis Tools (FEA, CFD & Moldflow)
• Involved with New Product Development

Responsibilities
