Requirements

  • Mechanical CAD & product definition: NX, GD&T, model-based design practices.
  • PLM / configuration control: Teamcenter, part number creation
  • Manufacturing-minded design: tolerance stack-ups, DFM/DFA, safety, serviceability, and fixture robustness.
  • FEA analysis.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
  • Comfortable working hands-on with hardware and collaborating in a fast-moving environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

Responsibilities

  • Design and release mechanical fixtures and tooling that enable safe, repeatable pilot builds/repairs and smooth handoff to production
  • Build new prototype assemblies.
  • Performance tolerance analysis to ensure no interference issues.
  • Support to solve engineering issues to ensure hardware fit, form and function.
  • Conduct tests for new hardware to meet engineering spec requirement
  • Create and improve new documentation, training content, and mechanical build procedures for NPI/pilot products, supporting transition and post-launch support.
  • Partner with cross-functional SMEs (ME/EE/SW/Test/Manufacturing) to debug build issues, close gaps in legacy documentation, and standardize mechanical interfaces.
  • Work with suppliers for purchase new design parts
