About The Position

As our Mechanical Engineer Intern, you'll collaborate with our Mechanical Engineering team on a variety of systems and component design projects. You'll gain hands-on experience applying engineering principles, using design software, and contributing to projects that directly impact our manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D/3D; Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks a plus
• Introductory experience with 3D modeling and simulation (stress/motion analysis)
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings to industry standards (ASME, ISO)
• Foundational knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods
• Adaptability and problem-solving in fast-paced environments
• Attention to detail and timely decision-making
• Collaboration across teams and levels of the organization
• Clear communication and results orientation
• Accountability, resilience, and strong integrity

Nice To Haves

• Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks a plus

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to develop 3D models and create detailed build drawings for the manufacturing team
• Interpret project requirements and incorporate lessons learned from previous designs into new projects
• Perform basic calculations to validate designs
• Apply fits, tolerances, and design notes (e.g., shafts, bearings, welding) to subcomponents
• Participate in project turnover and design review meetings
• Enter Bills of Material (BOMs) into Syteline ERP system
