CMTA offers a robust co-op program for college students pursuing degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering, focusing on engineering design for the built environment. This program provides an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the consulting engineering world for one or more semesters, building industry-competitive skills in a hands-on environment. Co-ops work on a team, receive training from Professional Engineers in AutoCAD and Revit, and create real construction drawings for CMTA projects. This is a full-time (40 hrs./week), onsite position with a competitive hourly pay rate and eligibility for overtime. The position starts in August 2026 and continues through Fall 2026, with flexible dates to accommodate school calendars. The company hopes that co-op students will complete multiple rotations, with potential consideration for full-time employment upon graduation. The role offers unique hands-on training in mechanical/HVAC/Energy design, teaching how to design and implement mechanical systems/infrastructure and energy-efficient measures in building projects. It's an opportunity to work on challenging MEP projects and become an important part of the design team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
