About The Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys designing real-world equipment, seeing it built, and watching it run. This role blends hands-on mechanical design, field experience, and problem-solving across industries. You will work within a small, high-impact engineering team and collaborate globally to develop, test, and implement advanced conveyance solutions. Only candidates who hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card) will be considered for this position. Sponsorship or work authorization transfer is not available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and within small teams to meet timelines.
  • Hands-on familiarity with hand tools, measuring tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to travel 25-35% (domestic and international) and work safely in manufacturing or construction environments.
  • Comfortable standing and working for extended periods in non-climate-controlled areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM, Visual Basic, or CAD automation tools.
  • Background in industrial machinery, conveyors, packaging systems, or equipment installation.
  • Field engineering experience including site surveys, testing, or commissioning.
  • Exposure to FEA or simulation tools for design validation.
  • Knowledge of Lean or Continuous Improvement practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design industrial equipment, subassemblies, and parts using SolidWorks and engineering configuration tools.
  • Analyze customer drawings and specifications to develop manufacturable solutions that meet performance, cost, and safety targets.
  • Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and documentation within PDM systems.
  • Lead or contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  • Gather on-site data, develop installation plans, and support commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to align design standards and share best practices.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all design deliverables from concept through project close-out.
  • Participate in continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives to streamline design and build processes.
