The Mechanical Engineer in this role will be responsible for supporting existing products and new product initiatives through design enhancements, cost reduction activities, and manufacturing support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or related discipline).
  • 4+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
  • Working knowledge of assembly processes and manufacturing methods.
  • Experience creating and managing engineering change documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Self‑motivated with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Experience using Windchill and SAP.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Creo (or similar 3D CAD software).
  • Prior experience supporting cost reduction initiatives and sustaining engineering activities.
  • Exposure to HVAC, industrial equipment, or regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and evaluate ideas to enhance current products, improve performance, quality, and manufacturability.
  • Develop cost‑reduction ideas and collaborate with cross‑functional cost reduction teams to implement approved solutions.
  • Evaluate engineering deviation requests for technical feasibility, risk, and manufacturability.
  • Create and maintain engineering change documentation to support product enhancements, cost reductions, and corrections.
  • Review completed engineering changes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Partner with manufacturing and factory teams to resolve issues impacting production, assembly, and quality.
  • Support annual AHRI sample unit builds, including coordination, documentation, and technical support.
  • Provide engineering support to New Product Integration (NPI) teams as needed throughout development and launch phases.
  • Ensure designs and changes align with company standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
