SUMMARY: Taking a lead role in tasks related to large multi-team engineering development projects to enhance the capabilities of our industrial doors, the Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for supporting the development and enhancement of our product lines. Executing and documenting Engineering Change Orders associated with said projects. Solving product performance issues using various company data systems and developing design corrections. Provide engineering support for new product development projects in a lead role. Interface with Product Group leader and Project manager as well as ECO liaison as well as other project team members to enhance existing products. Provide direction to others relative to assigned project development activities Design solutions that meet the specific needs or directives outlined in Engineering Change requests. Provide engineering and Finite element analysis as required by the project scope. Work with vendors to facilitate communication and product development needs. Write test plans and quality documents. Ability to generate manufacturing-ready designs, including a proven ability to work with factory personnel to ensure capabilities alignment.
