We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer Design Verification Checker to join our team. In this role you will: Work closely with engineers, analysts and manufacturing for design verification of detailed drawings, models, and release of engineering work products. Independently review models, drawings, and work product requirements from various sources (design, stress, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure program requirements and schedules are met. Drive to completion the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs.

Requirements

  • Solid Mechanical Engineering fundamentals, design and/or manufacturing experience that includes the use of interpretation of engineering design drawings.
  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling, drafting, and release familiarity.
  • Prior engineering review/checking experience
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary product development teams, handling multiple customers tasks and projects simultaneously, with strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security clearance, US Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • LM MCAD Checker certification is a plus, with LM command mediate knowledge and Data Set Rating experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to development and deployment of productivity / performance improvements and leveraging new technologies.
  • Aerospace / Structural / Mechanical / HVAC / Electrical engineering systems experience.
  • Creo modeling/design experience
  • ASME Y14.5 proficiency
  • EPDM Windchill release and process experience
  • Working knowledge of industrial standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS (including AWS weld symbology).
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills and the ability to lead and drive change.
  • Model based product definition knowledge
  • Familiar with the development of Special Tooling (ST) / Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) used for the manufacture, integration, test, transport, and handling of spacecraft and associated critical hardware.
