About The Position

Leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Mechanical Engineer Department Manager for their Detroit team! Responsibilities: Work with Project Managers within the organization Create work plans/estimates for department staff assigned projects Ensure work meets QA/QC standards and client expectations Supervise projects/staff Meet performance metrics/goals Prepare proposals and administer project contracts Maintain backlogs/manpower forecasts for proper staffing and department utilization Perform annual reviews and timecards/expense report approvals for staff Assist Human Resources with recruiting and training Participate in various trade organizations Assist with business development Requirements: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred 8+ years of mechanical design experience in a consulting environment Experience designing Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects PE License preferred Working knowledge of Revit Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously ​ Salary is commensurate with experience. Requirements

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • 8+ years of mechanical design experience in a consulting environment
  • Experience designing Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects
  • PE License preferred
  • Working knowledge of Revit
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
