About The Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Draftsperson to provide engineering drafting, documentation, and technical support to our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to translate concepts into accurate 3D models and 2D technical drawings.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of SolidWorks experience through a combination of education and/or industry experience; certification or associate’s degree in CAD is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of drafting symbols, and industry drafting standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand the function of mechanical parts within an assembly.
• Ability to produce professional, high-quality work within project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and create technical drawings and schematics.
• Accurately measure mechanical components using digital calipers and other standard measuring tools.
• Develop 3D part and assembly models and corresponding 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineers to support existing and new engineering projects.
• Prepare and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) in support of design projects.
• Review and revise drawings for accuracy and compliance with Drawing Change Requests (DCRs).
• Maintain high standards for the quality and completeness of drafting and documentation work.
