Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong SolidWorks skills —you know how to build models that work in the real world
• Comfortable working with PDM (or other vault tools) to manage revisions and design data
• Solid understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes —you think like a builder, not just a drafter
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD or Autodesk software a plus
• Navisworks experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Create accurate shop drawings
• Create assembly models
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) that keep projects moving smoothly
• Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to fine-tune designs for manufacturability and efficiency
• Attend project and production meetings to review progress and resolve design issues
• Occasionally visit job sites to verify measurements and support field reviews
• Translate complex specs and ideas into practical, functional mechanical designs that perform
