We are seeking a Mechanical Designer, to join our Industrial Buildings team. In this role, you will design and develop mechanical systems for industrial Power Distribution Center (PDC) buildings, ensuring solutions are accurate, efficient, safe, and cost-effective. Your work will directly support project schedules, client needs, and regulatory standards. Candidates with backgrounds in Mechanical Design or Architectural Engineering are encouraged to apply, as both bring valuable expertise in building system integration. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Architectural Engineering, or related field, Preferred.
  • Equivalent experience with relevant certifications will also be considered.
  • 4+ years of mechanical design, Required.
  • Familiarity with environments such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or data centers.
  • Proficient in CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of building systems, energy modeling, and sustainability.
  • Experience with load calculation software (e.g., HAP, Trace 700).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for building systems, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Use CAD and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit) to produce 2D/3D models, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Partner with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate systems effectively.
  • Participate in design reviews and project meetings, providing solutions to design challenges.
  • Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and equipment sizing to optimize performance.
  • Ensure designs align with energy efficiency and sustainability standards.
  • Ensure all designs meet codes, standards, and regulations (ASHRAE, NFPA, local building codes).
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and equipment schedules.
  • Support construction by reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.
