About The Position

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer will work in the Mechanical Department of KLA ECI division based in Totowa, NJ. This role involves the design process of mechanical parts for new systems, including conceptual and detailed design using CAD systems, creating detailed drawings, and participating in design review presentations.

Requirements

  • Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; OR Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
  • Strong background in engineering or physical science
  • Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration with other team members

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in design or related study in microfluidic systems and dispensing
  • Experience in material science
  • Experience in spectrophotometry or fiber-optics
  • Experience in mechanical/electrical engineering, physics, or related disciplines
  • Experience in Inventor 3D CAD and AutoCAD software

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design process of mechanical part of new systems, including conceptual and detailed design using CAD systems (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD), detailed drawings, design review presentations
  • Design mechanical parts of new chemical monitoring or management systems, modules, assemblies, or parts
  • Work with mechanical, electrical and software engineering groups and R&D to define and review designs and test plans
  • Create COs to release new parts, assemblies, systems and supporting documentation
