This position is responsible for the assembling of components to build the woodworking machinery models produced at HOMAG Machinery North America. In this role, the Mechanical Assembler is responsible for checking the quality and functionality of the components and correcting the tolerances of machinery. This role requires a person who is flexible, adaptable, and a team player.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of assembly production experience
  • Experience in reading and utilizing blueprints / schematics
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Basic understanding of navigating KanBan or other production efficiency processes
  • Good communicator
  • Self-starter and reliable
  • Team player

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret mechanical blueprints to apply knowledge for the successful installation of components for assembly of machine.
  • Performs diagnostic functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, test equipment assembly fixtures and inspection measurement equipment to verify the accuracy and makes necessary adjustments to attain specified results.
  • Troubleshoots and reworks malfunctions revealed by test data.
  • Examining production checklist for completeness and quality levels, and making adjustments and repairs as needed
  • Supporting team members as needed
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the cycle workstation
  • Other duties as assigned
