Mechanical Assembly Technician - Small Scale
About The Position
We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to work in our advanced manufacturing assembly department based out of the Shrewsbury, MA location. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. The focus of the role will be on the assembly of small-scale, high precision motion instruments, specifically piezo assembly. Requirements
- Ability to complete complex mechanical assembly tasks and precision metrology measurements
- Moderate soldering experience, J-STD-001 preferred
- Familiarity with precision mechanical alignments, tools and techniques
- Can use multi-meters, wire strippers, and standard assembly and metrology tools
- Ability to complete assembly and metrology records for regulatory and QC requirements
- Use 5S and Lean principles in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly of devices requiring precision alignments and metrology
- Soldering of small gauge wires (28-36 gauge)
- Using a microscope for precision alignments and soldering of small devices
- Interpreting mechanical and technical product drawings and documentation
- Ability to use standard office applications (Word, Excel, Email)
