About The Position

Mercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring cutting-edge technology to mission-critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. The Associate Assembler will perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronics and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

Requirements

  • Typically requires one year or less of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Familiarity with assembly drawings/procedures.
  • Must be comfortable working under a microscope.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
  • Work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Electronics assembly and inspection experience
  • IPC-610 experience
  • Hands-on experience building PCs
  • Hands-on experience with torque values and other mechanical rework
  • Experience with cable management

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble and inspect electronic components per documented work instructions.
  • Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
  • Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
  • Perform various mechanical operations under a microscope up to 50% of the time
  • Disassemble and re-assemble, modify, rework assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Install and route cables in small form factor assemblies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
