About The Position

SUMMARY Assemble mechanical devices and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Read work orders, follow production drawing and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place. Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies. Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products. Perform intermediate tasks, such as sanding, cleaning, stamping, etching of parts and assemblies. Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment. Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May be responsible for direction and training of subordinate mechanical assembly personnel. Monitor personnel to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec AS9100/ISO policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor. AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives. Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions. Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions. Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate. Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required. Cooperate with Auditors. Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED, or one to three years experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee is regularly required to sit, bend, stand, reach, walk, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Good eyesight; buy lenses if necessary. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, or one to three years experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Good eyesight; buy lenses if necessary.
