Employee performs highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with mechanical assemblies.Functions and responsibilities

Requirements

High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school.
Two or more years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Responsible for installation, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
Must have strong troubleshooting, blueprint reading and hydraulic skills
Willing to work with all types of building and production equipment
Layout, assemble, test, and install, apparatus and equipment, working from blueprints, schematics, sketches, verbal instructions, and other specifications.
Diagnose and repair trouble involving installations and equipment.
Fabricate and install necessary equipment to accomplish tasks.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Align, fit and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, measuring tools and blueprints.
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Installs, repairs and services specialized mechanical equipment, machinery, panels and wiring.
Completes installations and does necessary testing to verify work.
The essential functions of individual positions within the classification may differ. CAF USA may assign reasonably related additional duties to individual employees consistent with policy and precedence.
Additional responsibilities may be added or amended at any time to reflect changing business conditions.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Shall report all injuries/illnesses to their supervisor that occur at work, the day of the incident
Shall report any unsafe conditions that are identified in their respective work area to their supervisor
Shall comply with all CAF USA safety policies, procedures, and requirements that are communicated to them, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
Shall wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is communicated and supplied to them
Shall keep their respective work area clean and orderly at all times
Shall attend all CAF USA required training as soon as possible before the start of their assigned work
Shall NOT operate any CAF USA equipment (forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts) until certified to do so
