About The Position

Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists Use hand tools and power tools to assemble parts Conducts quality control checks Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies Verifies specifications by measuring complete components Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisors to obtain additional resources if needed Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results Documents actions by completing production and quality forms

Requirements

  • Ability to pass a drug screen, physical exam, & background check
  • Must be able to read assembly blueprints in English format
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as required
  • Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization
  • Working knowledge of shop safety practices
  • Understanding of quality assurance concepts, typically acquired through in-house training
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Adaptability and willingness to be cross trained
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment with temperature variations
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, and repetitive movements for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
