The level of Mechanical Assembler (i.e.: I, II, etc.) is dependent upon years of experience and applicable skill level in performing required tasks inside the department from the most basic essential duties to the more complex duties as determined by management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities All skills are dependent upon level and include the following with other duties as assigned. Perform a variety of moderate to complex production and/or assembly operations Utilize diagrams, drawings, work orders, oral and/or written instructions to assemble products and sub-assemblies. Read, interpret and abide by shop processes. Knowledge of and understand in BMS, BAC and other types of aerospace specifications. Consistently produce high level of quality craftsmanship. Troubleshoot and problem solve based upon skill level Work with other department personnel to resolve issues/problems. Knowledge of and understand the use of: Tools and machines: screw drivers, drills, clamps, vices, knives, gauges, scales, temperature recorders, etc. Materials: adhesives, laminates, fiberglass/resins, potting compound.
