Mechanical and Piping Insulator
About The Position
RQ Construction is hiring experienced Mechanical and Piping Insulators to support our Mechanical team for current and upcoming projects at Kings Bay Naval Base, GA, and nearby areas. All work is performed on the military installation and is compensated in accordance with applicable Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates for the site. In this role, you will install insulation on mechanical equipment, duct systems, and piping to regulate temperature and improve system performance, while ensuring all work meets applicable codes, specifications, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimum education
- 4 or more years of field or trade work experience as a journey-level mechanical piping insulator in a commercial, or facilities operations setting
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program preferred
- government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
