About The Position

Since 1996, RQ Construction, LLC has built a strong reputation as a provider of Design-Build services for both commercial and government clients. With active projects across the United States and abroad, including North Carolina, our teams support construction efforts nationwide. We specialize in fast-paced, ground-up construction projects, with a primary focus on Department of Defense work. RQ Construction is seeking to hire multiple experienced Mechanical and Piping Insulators to support ongoing projects at Camp Lejeune, NC. All work will take place on the military installation and is compensated in accordance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements applicable to the base. In this role, Insulators will install and apply insulation materials to piping systems, ductwork, and other mechanical components to regulate temperature and improve system efficiency. The position requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems, proper use of tools and equipment, and strict adherence to established safety standards, all in alignment with RQ Construction's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position. Should be supplemented by completion of a Union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program that includes theory and on-the-job work.
  • 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level mechanical piping insulator (an apprenticeship program preferred) in a commercial or facilities operations setting is required
  • All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).
