About The Position

Position Summary: Our Mechanic is a valuable part of our team. Our Mechanics perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance work throughout the facility during their shift. The priorities for this role include: preventative maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, repair of mechanical systems equipment and components, and rebuilding of mechanical systems equipment and components.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from and accredited institution and one of the following: o Two-year associate degree or higher in technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, etc.) o Completed apprenticeship in mechanic, mechanical maintenance, or electro-mechanical, electrical, or related field o Military training and experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) o 2+ years hands-on experience in a mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, or related role

Nice To Haves

• Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility
• Previous experience reading blueprints and schematics
• Previous experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Previous experience with power transmission components; belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors & gears
• Previous experience with drill presses, lathes, Bridgeport-type mills
• Experience with operation and maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated lifts

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and troubleshooting of packaging and production equipment and systems, including: Extruder, Dryers, Dry bulk storage & conveying, Dilute phase pneumatic conveying, High speed packaging including cartoners, baggers, case-packers, palletizers, low pressure boilers, thermal fluid process heaters, material handling systems, water chillers, compressed air systems, and HVAC systems
• Partner with operations and maintenance teams to solve repetitive problems, complete preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance programs and work
• Partner with operations to learn operating systems, while providing training on mechanical components
• Other duties, as assigned
