H&N Electric is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. This role performs an initial inspection to diagnose failure of industrial equipment and help customer service produce an initial quote for repairing equipment. After initial inspection, Mechanics breakdown equipment for repair and is responsible for performing the identified repair. Position Summary: Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test electro-mechanical equipment in accordance with job cards and supervisor direction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with similar types of equipment in a manufacturing environment required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant mechanical experience required
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clean Driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Class A CDL preferred

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret job cards for status, limitations, and repair requirements.
  • Test, disassemble, clean, and reassemble electro-mechanical equipment using proper tools and methods.
  • Identify, requisition, and install replacement parts; repair or replace defective components.
  • Retest equipment for proper performance and complete required documentation.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment safely, following all safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist other shop personnel as needed.
  • Drive motors to customer sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
