About The Position

Our cementing services range from well construction to remediation and ensure wellbore integrity that lasts throughout the life of the well. American Cementing’s services include in-depth laboratory testing, precise blending at the bulk plant and dependable operations at the wellsite. The Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing trucks, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment. This role involves running diagnostic tests, maintaining and replacing key vehicle systems (e.g., engine, transmission, steering, brakes), and supporting the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and trailer systems.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair procedures.
• Effective communicator with the ability to mentor junior team members.
• Detail-oriented and organized with accurate recordkeeping skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Stay current on new diagnostic techniques and equipment through training or manufacturer updates.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employment sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training or certifications in diesel mechanics
• Oil and gas industry experience

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on diesel trucks and trailers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections in accordance with DOT standards.
• Run diagnostic tests to determine vehicle issues and execute necessary repairs.
• Replace and rebuild components including engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systems.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
• Coordinate third-party repair services when necessary.
• Support and lead other technicians in the absence of a supervisor or manager.
• Configure and maintain test stations and systems for verifying repair accuracy.
• Analyze test data to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) procedures and company policies.
• Use assertive communication (including stop work authority) when concerns or safety risks arise.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational goals.
