About The Position

Allegheny Contracting is now hiring for a Mechanic position located in Ridgway, PA. Qualified candidates will be considered based on meeting the following criteria:

Requirements

• Prior mechanic experience
• Inspection license
• Must be able to use all tools and equipment necessary to perform work assignments
• Must have own tools
• Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the job stated above
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic mathematics and computer skills
• Recognize and follow company procedures and policies
• Ability to operate all products and models of our equipment
• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Clean background check

Nice To Haves

• CDL preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heavy equipment and trucks as well as light duty trucks and equipment
• Able to pick up 50lbs
• Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, and stretch for long periods of time while working
• Some welding and fabrication
• Walk and work on uneven ground, requiring stable footing
• Diagnose operational difficulties experienced by several brands and types of equipment
• Ability to trouble shoot and identify issues and fix them quickly and efficiently
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Perform additional duties as assigned
