About The Position

Maintains equipment operation, including but not limited to vehicles and trailers, by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshoots and diagnoses problems; correcting deficiencies; making adjustments; keeping records. This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Abides by all Well Werks Energy Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies. Must abide by all Customer Safety policies and procedures while on customers job site. Determines vehicle and trailer condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts. Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures. Corrects vehicle and trailer deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics, wiring; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units. Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test-drives; adjusting controls and systems. Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. Weld and cut parts, as necessary. Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs. Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications. Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Willingness to work long hours and be available on an on-call basis. Assist in maintenance of equipment in the field as well as in the yard. Clean and maintain rig-up trucks, trailers and heavy equipment. Observes safe working practices, safety rules, and regulations by adhering to correct SOP & HSE procedures. Initiates job safety analysis (JSA) procedures and hazard recognition practices prior to any job task. Corrects hazards immediately or reports to the Field Operations Manager, District Manager, and/or HSE Manager. Communicate effectively with employees, the client representative and/or other third party service companies. Wears appropriate PPE as required. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree GED preferred
  • One plus years’ experience in oilfield work, or related field preferred
  • Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred, but not required
  • Must successfully pass pre- and post-employment drug and alcohol tests per company policy.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty to assigned standards.

  • Ability to meet qualifications to drive per company standards and policies; if required
  • Must be able to frequently lift and move materials up to 75 pounds or less unassisted.

  • Requires pushing and pulling up to 140 pounds of force, bending, standing, kneeling, carrying, sitting, climbing for extended periods of time each day.
  • Requires appropriate PPE to be worn; safety glasses, steel toe boots, ear plugs etc.…
  • Requires exposure to moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to warm, hot and cold temperatures.
