About The Position

A mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues in machinery or mobile equipment. They use diagnostic tools and their own expertise to identify problems, and then perform repairs or replace parts as needed.

Requirements

Must be able to follow safety protocols and adhere to company safety standards.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with various levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Must have technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other pertinent operating systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years' experience in a relevant field.

Nice To Haves

Vocational or technical training certificate or associate’s degree in related field a plus.

Responsibilities

Comply with Eco Material Technologies’ safety policies and procedures.
Accurately identify problems with machinery or mobile equipment using diagnostic tools and their own knowledge of mechanical systems.
Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary.
Perform preventive maintenance and develop PM programs to keep machinery and mobile equipment running smoothly and prevent future issues.
Generates work orders and closes them in operating systems.
Refer to and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand the layout and function of various mechanical systems.
Use wide range of tools, from simple wrenches and screwdrivers to more complex diagnostic equipment and power tools.
Stay informed about the latest developments in machinery and mobile equipment technology, as well as changes to regulations and standards that may affect their work.
May work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with other mechanics, engineers, and technicians to complete projects.
Must keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.
May be required to be on-call.
Install equipment and machinery as needed.
Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
