Position Summary Collaborates with business partners to learn skills required to maintain, repair, and overhaul trailers and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of hand tool repairs on class 6,7, and 8 trucks.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains systems and parts associated with class 6,7, and 8 diesel-powered tractors, trailers, and forklifts.
• Diagnosis failures and makes repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other vehicles.
• Operates and uses specialized equipment
• Uses hydraulic jacks to lift heavy trucks and cars to perform maintenance work underneath the vehicles.
• Troubleshoots and repairs heavy truck engines, braking, electrical, cooling, and exhausting systems.
• Assists in maintaining accurate records of repairs, schedules, and parts inventory.
• Follows safety protocols and procedures when handling heavy equipment.
