Requirements

  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • You are looking for long-term projects
  • You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
  • You have a High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • You have a valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
  • You have or will have a DOT medical card prior to the start date
  • You have knowledge of vehicle and equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics
  • Have knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures
  • You have the proven ability to do tune-ups, brake jobs (hydraulic and air), and basic wiring
  • You have extensive Heavy Truck/Heavy Equipment repair experience
  • You have the ability to use a cutting torch and basic welding skills
  • You have knowledge of Vermeer/Ditch Witch drills, plows, and mix systems repair procedures
  • You have experience with Altec, POSI Plus, Versa Lift, and Terex aerial units
  • You have good verbal communication skills
  • You have precise hand-eye coordination
  • You have the ability to work with little supervision
  • You have clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and repair company equipment, such as pickup trucks, line trucks, trailers, mini excavators, backhoes, compressors, and generators, in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
  • Perform road tests and operational checks of vehicles and equipment to ensure the quality of repairs and service
  • Place orders for required parts, materials, and supplies, as required
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports
  • Monitor prioritized projects, activities, and assignments to ensure the completion of deadlines
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and workstations in a clean, safe, and presentable manner
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
