About The Position

This is a maintenance mechanic role in a production setting, focusing on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical responsibilities. The position operates on a 3rd shift with a rotating schedule.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality
Strong interpersonal, problem solving and effective communication skills
Desire and ability to work and communicate as a team

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and solve all mechanical problems
Replace mechanical parts such as bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, or sprockets
Repair/Rebuild any drive component such as motors, gear reducers, or variable speed drives (with exceptions for sophisticated equipment)
Follow through to ensure proper parts are ordered
Troubleshoot pneumatic systems including pneumatic cylinders, directional valves, solenoid valves, or speed adjusters
Rebuild pneumatic components
Possess knowledge of all related hoses and fittings for pneumatic systems
Read and interpret pneumatic schematics
Understand hydraulic equipment and systems
Understand all hydraulic components
Rebuild/Replace hydraulic components
Read and interpret hydraulic schematics
Understand and use lock-out/tag-out procedures
Understand basics of circuit breakers, fuses, starters, or control circuitry
Use an electrical test meter to test voltage, amperage, continuity, or ohms
Troubleshoot electrical systems such as breakers, relays, timers, or solenoids
Troubleshoot electro-pneumatic and electro-hydraulic systems
Troubleshoot any type of electric motor
