About The Position

Convenient care is provided through 24/7, Level III emergency care at St. Anthony-Summit Hospital in Frisco, three emergency mountain clinics at the base of the Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Keystone resorts, as well as urgent care and primary care available from CMG High Country Healthcare clinics in Frisco, Breckenridge and Silverthorne. The Mechanic Engineer will join the Hospital team to operate and maintain stationary engines, mechanical equipment, compressors, generators, and steam boilers to ensure the provision of utilities such as lighting, heating, power, refrigeration, air conditioning, and other essential services for the hospital. The role also involves delivering exceptional customer service when interacting with patients, visitors, and fellow staff members, working independently with minimal supervision, and providing mentorship and coaching to less experienced facilities staff. General maintenance tasks, including electrical work, plumbing, equipment maintenance, and safety testing, are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in maintaining, operating, and repairing building mechanical systems, including boilers, liquid chillers, pumps, fans, air handling units, heat exchangers, and other related equipment
  • Familiarity with medical gas systems, including medical air pumps, medical vacuum pumps, bulk oxygen, nitrous oxide, nitrogen, and backup systems
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or certificate in a facilities-related field
  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems and Computerized Maintenance Management systems
  • Experience in hospital facilities or healthcare construction
  • Certification as a Stationary Engineer, Boiler Operator Class A & B, CFC, and/or Journeyman
  • City and County Stationary Engineer Certificate

Responsibilities
