About The Position

This role involves fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing production sheet metal products and equipment such as control boxes, drain pipes, ventilators, and furnace casings. The work must be performed in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Key tasks include making sheet metal layouts, setting up and operating fabricating machinery, shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms, and operating welding and soldering equipment. The position also requires inspecting assemblies and installations to ensure conformance to specifications. Additionally, the individual may be responsible for monitoring and verifying quality according to statistical process or other control procedures.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
May require certification.

Responsibilities

Makes sheet metal layouts.
Sets up and operates fabricating machinery.
