About The Position

Get to know us: NOVO Health Services offers linen management solutions to the healthcare industry. NOVO Health keenly focuses on safety and infection control and provides its partner hospitals with a value-driven linen management control system that measures and monitors linen utilization by department to eliminate excess internal costs. NOVO's wide range of service programs offer a variety of options to provide a seamless, single source distribution system. NOVO's regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state-of-the-art processing equipment and processes. We are an industrial healthcare laundry. We provide bed linen, surgeon’s scrubs, towels, pillowcases, sheets, blankets and surgical linen to our hospital owners, medical clinics and nursing homes. Required Knowledge: Industrial Electricity Industrial Electronics PLC & Computer Interfacing and Operations Hydraulics and Pneumatics Steam Reading and understanding complicated machine and wiring drawings Job Duties: - Trouble-shoot and repair a wide variety of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components, including changing faulty switches, air solenoid valves, air lines, and major machine components. - Visit assigned areas of responsibility, inspect equipment and assess maintenance required. - Review assigned Preventive Maintenance work. Perform those activities, which are possible during production. Complete remaining during non-production hours. - Respond to trouble calls on assigned equipment. Identify mechanical, electrical, or electronic malfunctions and communicate them to the Supervisor. - May be responsible for plant start up or shut down. - Instruct mechanics in lower classifications in appropriate repair techniques - Other tasks as assigned Required education: High school or equivalent and two years formal training in a skilled trade. Experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
