About The Position

As an Operations Specialist – Meat/Seafood , you’ll be the go-to expert for driving operational excellence across multiple stores in the district. You’ll coach and develop department managers, optimize merchandising strategies, and ensure compliance with company standards—all while fostering a culture of engagement and customer-first service.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills; ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Decision-making, collaboration, adaptability, and analytical thinking.
  • Retail grocery operations, merchandising, procurement, marketing, and financial analysis.
  • Manage multiple priorities, interpret data, embrace change, and travel extensively within the district.
  • Previous experience as Assistant Store Director or Store Director with specialized knowledge of meat/seafood operations.
  • Up to 90% within assigned district; occasional overnight/weekend travel.
  • Proficiency with IT applications and personal computer systems; ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with store directors and department managers to align operations with division goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Provide hands-on coaching in financial management, including sales planning, inventory control, and labor scheduling.
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams to implement strategies that boost sales and profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  • Lead initiatives to improve shrink, enhance execution, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support talent development through training, succession planning, and engagement programs to build strong, high-performing teams.
