  • Lift and handle meat products and boxes
  • Perform repetitive tasks such as cutting, trimming, and stocking
  • Lead and supervise a team effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to work a full‑time retail schedule including weekends and peak business periods
  • Willingness to relocate or transfer if needed
  • Commitment to food safety and compliance

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the Meat Department, ensuring high standards for product quality, freshness, cutting, merchandising, and food safety.
  • Supervise, train, and coach a team of Meat Cutters, Butchers, and Meat Clerks to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Achieve department goals in sales, gross profit, labor, shrink, and inventory accuracy.
  • Perform hands‑on meat cutting, trimming, wrapping, and stocking as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HACCP standards, and all food safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Build strong customer relationships by delivering friendly, knowledgeable assistance at the service counter.
  • Manage scheduling, task delegation, and staffing for a team of 2–20 associates.
  • Use store systems to manage ordering, production planning, and reporting.
  • Serve as Manager‑on‑Duty when assigned.
