Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and staffing of the Meat Department.
  • Supervise, schedule, and train meat cutters and clerks.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company policies.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and culling products.
  • Operate meat processing equipment (grinders, saws, tenderizers, knives).
  • Maintain accurate records and perform monthly inventory checks.
  • Implement merchandising programs and ensure pricing integrity.
  • Provide high-quality customer service, including special orders and custom cuts.
  • Monitor and analyze department reports to identify opportunities.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the department.
