OMPS Inspectors enforce the Federal Meat Inspection Act, Poultry Products Inspection Act, and related state regulations. This position requires travel to various facilities, may involve occasional overtime, and has a fluctuating work schedule based on agency needs, including working weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Statewide and overnight travel are required, with reimbursements for mileage and potentially a state car for business use. The role involves considerable physical activity.
