Position Requirements Perform duties to plan, develop and implement Coordinating Measuring machine programs and inspection plan as directed by Quality Engineering. Perform 100%and sample inspection on aircraft one-way clutch components use in flight -safety and non- flight-safety applications to ensure conformance with company standards, Military standards, and customer specifications. Work from CMM software, prints, process specification sheets, operating procedures, sampling charts, military standards, routing masters, and instructions: 1. Develop CMM inspection programs for extremely close tolerance, aircraft one- way clutch components, plan inspection methods, determine probe sequence and clearance movements for most efficient use of Coordinate Measuring machine. 2. Input part dimensions, tolerances and quality of inspection points to ensure parts are inspected in accordance with established specification. 3. Test, review programs and debug as necessary. 4. Modify and update programs as necessary based on charges in part specifications. 5. Maintain disk backup file. 6. Write calibration procedures and gages at set intervals. 7. Complete various inspection forms and report as required. 8. Move and handle discrepant material in accordance with aircraft operating procedures. 9. Perform part inspection duties as required, move components between inspection and maintain component lot traceability. 10. Input data into the mainframe computer and personal computer as required. Use Coordinate Measuring machine, a variety precision inspection tools and instruments, supermicrometers, hardness testing machine, computer assisted optical comparitors, gage blocks and gage fixtures Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as assigned.
