The Opportunity As a Measurement Services Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of gas measurement data, directly impacting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will lead the evaluation, root cause analysis, and resolution of measurement data issues, with a focus on Lost and Unaccounted For (LAUF) gas. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive continuous improvement in measurement quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience in gas measurement, engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical and engineering analysis, project management, risk management, and quality management.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of measurement equipment, measurement quality risks, and measurement fundamentals and processes.
  • Experience with data management systems (e.g., AVEVA - Measurement Advisor/PI or CMS) and advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation of systemic LAUF concerns and identify root causes of measurement discrepancies.
  • Address and resolve issues causing LAUF, providing technical guidance and education to stakeholders.
  • Understand the different measurement and auxiliary equipment and their effects the accuracies have on LAUF
  • Stay current with system and equipment changes that could directly or indirectly affect LAUF and/or Gas Quality assignments
  • Provide technical expertise in data manipulation and visualization using Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to custody‑transfer measurement to accurately inform analysis and root‑cause evaluations
  • Provide technical support and training for Data Integrity personnel and other company stakeholders as needed
  • Provide technical support during internal Process and Procedure reviews
  • Collaborate with Measurement Engineering to identify facility modifications to reduce LAUF concerns
  • Other tasks as required
