Chevron’s Shale & Tight Business is accepting online applications for the position of Measurement Apprentice located at our Midland, TX, Orla, TX, Pecos, TX, Carlsbad, NM, or Hobbs, NM, assets through March 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Central Standard Time). The Measurement Apprenticeship is designed to build technical skills in the Oil Measurement discipline and gain experience in field operations. As part of the program, apprentices will assist in installing, commissioning, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating gas and liquid measurement equipment. This role supports safe and reliable operation of facilities and field assets by performing work on but not limited to Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM), samplers, wizard controllers, Coriolis, solar panels, SCADA, oil and dry flow meters, orifice plate, meter tubes, temperature probes, and various other equipment in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and safety procedures. Through a combination of structured training and immersive on-the-job learning, Apprentices are introduced to the complexity and criticality of work management, maintenance execution, and equipment servicing/repair. The position provides direct exposure to the Chevron Way Values and the strong safety culture that defines the Shale & Tight Business. Apprentices will work closely with a dedicated mentor, complete two assignments across different operational areas to develop a broad understanding of how teams and functions work together to safely deliver production and minimize downtime and will also participate in computer-based and classroom training. This is a temporary 6‑month field-based position.
