About The Position

Presbyterian Homes and Services is seeking a Part-time Meals Delivery Driver to join its Optage Meals team in the role of Service Coordinator/Driver. This part-time position will be expected to work bewteen 20-29 hours/week, Monday-Friday based on the need of the program. The hours are day shift, generally starting around 7 am. The vehicle is provided and the route is easily navigated through an app on a company provided work phone. Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A Valid Class D driver’s license.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Must possess patience, tact, positive attitude, enthusiasm, ability to work as independently as well as a team player.
  • Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work independently and effectively with clients, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the public.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience as a driver preferred.

Responsibilities

  • picking up meals from the Home Delivered Meals kitchen
  • delivering the meals to seniors on a specified route
  • rotating and observing consumption of food
  • assessing home situations
  • interacting with customers
  • ensuring that seniors are communicated with and are safe
  • reporting any information that presents a question or concern for a senior’s well-being or safety to management immediately
  • maintaining documentation including collecting and filing menus and returning the food carriers to the home delivered meals main kitchen
