About The Position

As a ME or EE Intern at LGESMI you will working directly with our team of Engineers and will be working on projects that will offer the opportunity to learn general battery production process; understand battery materials – strength and composition.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering -Junior or Senior standing
• Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to new tasks and projects
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineers in our Advanced Automotive Battery Division on product enhancement and new product development
• Interface with team members in the plant and office, as well as external suppliers, contractors, etc.
• Evaluate existing procedures for opportunities to improve product design and manufacturability
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
• Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support process development and improvement
• Research new technologies, equipment, supplies to help improve the operation
