About The Position

As a ME or EE or CS Intern at LGESMI you will working directly with our team of Engineers and will be working on projects that will offer the opportunity to learn general battery production process; understand battery materials – strength and composition.

This position will be responsible for work that includes:

Work closely with engineers in our Advanced Automotive Battery Division on product enhancement and new product development
Interface with team members in the plant and office, as well as external suppliers, contractors, etc.
Evaluate existing procedures for opportunities to improve product design and manufacturability
Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support process development and improvement
Research new technologies, equipment, supplies to help improve the operation

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering -Junior or Senior
• Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to new tasks and projects
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals
