About The Position

MDS LPN Shift: Full-Time Rate: $34 - $36/hr. (depending on experience) Responsibilities: Proactively maximize utilization and reimbursement Monitor and assess MDS submissions, complete MDS books and assist Clinical staff in ensuring assessments are accurately coded to present a complete picture of residents' clinical status and services rendered. Review RUG scores. Identify opportunities for improvement and best practices Provide consulting advice for divisional clinical support related to MDS Assessment process. Develop and implement standardized training modules, and training and in-servicing of new and current MDS staff Working closely with others in a fast paced, team environment under the direction of Nursing Administrator May participate in resident care when needed

Requirements

  • Current and valid license as an LPN in the state of New York required
  • Degree from accredited school or nursing/nursing program is required
  • Minimum of one year of previous MDS experience preferred (will train qualified applicants)
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with PointClickCare preferred
  • Education or experience in long term care or geriatric nursing is preferred
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the Medicare and Medicaid RUG grouper categories and documentation guidelines, preferred (will train qualified applicants)
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution
  • Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
  • Strong customer service skills and compassion
  • Willing to train dynamic applicant
  • Highly organized

Nice To Haves
