About The Position

Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! Program Summary The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces. Roles and Responsibilities Under supervision, installs, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and completes associated administrative documentation on various types of electronic equipment such as ground common radio equipment, digital wideband and multiband networking communication equipment, and related electronic devices. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Provides assistance to higher level technicians. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Complete the Military Basic Electronics Course and the Ground Transmission Systems Repair Course, or other service equivalent.
  • Three years of directly related work experience.
  • In lieu of military courses/experience, a combination of an AA degree in electronics or equivalent certification from a technical/vocational school, and directly related work experience may be considered, e.g., DOD 8570 IAT level II certification or FCC General Radio Telephone Operator License.
  • Demonstrate basic working knowledge of electronic fundamentals and techniques required to perform simple or routine tasks.
  • Follow detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, technical orders, technical manuals and manufacturer’s specifications and instructions to adjust, repair, and maintain radio transmitters and receivers to include operating procedures, radio wave propagation, radio practice, electrical principles, circuit components, practical circuits, signals and emissions, and antennas and feed lines.
  • Ability to obtain a tactical vehicle operator license as necessary, and comply with all accepted practices, established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and Base Access.
