The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. KBR provides maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program, having planned, coordinated, and executed these services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces for over 35 years. The Corrosion Control Technician performs duties involved with setting up, operating, and performing preventative maintenance on complete stationary and portable sandblasting equipment and machines used for cleaning metal and nonmetal surfaces. This role also involves the application of coating materials (i.e., paint, varnish, lacquer, shellac, etc.), on wood, metal, glass, concrete and other surfaces, using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other related methods and techniques. The technician provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level painters and assists higher level painters, and performs other assigned tasks.
