About The Position

The Graduate Associate’s primary role will be tracking and documenting accomplishments of current and past program participants as described in the approved project plan. The GA will also directly serve participants by providing graduate admissions assistance, finacial aid assitance, and research project support. Additionally, the GA will support the Director and Program Assistant in thier roles. The McNair GA postition includes pay and tuition grants for summer, fall and spring. Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree
• Be currently enrolled in a Winthrop graduate program
• One research presentation at a professional or academic conference
• Six months experience working with disadvantaged populations (undergraduate teamwork is sufficent)

Nice To Haves

• McNair alumni, with first preference going to alumni of this program
• Any field of study is acceptable, but preference will be given to fields where research and/or writing are emphasized
