About The Position

Where You Will Work: 6N Ortho-Urology is 36-bed medical-surgical unit. Patient population includes adult patients from 18 to 100+ years old with a variety of diagnoses - general surgery, urology surgery, GI surgery, wound care and management, traumatic injuries post fall or car accidents, and traditional inpatient medicine patients. Our team consists of RNs, LPNs, and NAs. This is a great unit to see a variety of diagnoses and solidify a foundation of skills that will serve you well in all aspects of your nursing career. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. About This Location: High Point Medical Center, part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, is deeply rooted in the High Point community. Our 351-bed hospital serves the residents of High Point and surrounding areas providing a wide range of patient- and family-centered care backed by the expertise of a nationally recognized academic medical center. Our hospital offers a full range of hospital-based services, including emergency services, cardiovascular services, vascular surgery, general surgery (including robotics), bariatric surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic and spine surgery, women’s services (OB, GYN surgery, and GYN oncology), behavioral health, and inpatient rehabilitation.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of RN experience
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
